Paddle Into Adventure: Kayaking with Las Vegas SUP Kayak Club
Just a short drive from MacDonald Highlands, Las Vegas SUP Kayak Club puts the Colorado River’s most striking stretch within easy reach — the towering walls of Black Canyon, the glowing waters of Emerald Cave, and the sheer scale of Hoover Dam, all explored by kayak or paddleboard with an expert guide leading the way. Run by a team of paddle sports enthusiasts who clearly love what they do, the club has built a reputation for turning first-timers into repeat paddlers.
The lineup ranges from an easygoing, family-friendly float to Emerald Cave to a more demanding 12-mile push past Hoover Dam that rewards paddlers with a stop at natural hot springs. For something different, the moonlight tour trades daytime views for sunset colors, stargazing, and neon-lit kayaks drifting downriver. Guided tours come with snacks included, and for those who’d rather set their own pace, self-drive kayak and SUP rentals are available too.
Whether it’s a bucket-list Hoover Dam paddle or a relaxed afternoon on the water, the club scales the experience to match the group — solo paddlers, families, and small groups are all welcome.
