A New Chapter for the Region’s Creative Community
For more than two decades, the Southern Arizona Arts Guild (SAAG) has been a cornerstone of the region’s creative community. As one of Southern Arizona’s largest nonprofit arts organizations, SAAG represents more than 300 artists working across nearly every visual discipline, from painting and sculpture to glass, ceramics, photography, mixed media, and digital art.
At any given time, the gallery showcases the work of more than 110 juried member artists, offering visitors a vibrant and ever-changing collection of original art created locally.
The new Joesler Village location was thoughtfully designed to enhance both the visitor experience and the Guild’s ability to serve the community. Improved visibility, an inviting gallery layout, and expanded classroom space allow SAAG to fulfill its dual mission of supporting working artists while providing meaningful access to the arts.
“Our new home at Joesler Village gives us room to grow in every sense,” said Terese Butler, President of the Southern Arizona Arts Guild.
Beyond exhibitions and art sales, the Guild offers a wide range of programming designed to engage visitors of all ages and experience levels. Monthly live art demonstrations, hands-on art activities, casual meet-the-artist events, and expert speaker presentations offer the public opportunities to connect directly with working artists. SAAG also invests in the future of the arts through scholarships for college-level art students, as well as internship and mentorship opportunities for emerging creatives.
Community engagement remains central to SAAG’s mission. Through its monthly newsletter, reaching more than 7,500 subscribers, the Guild shares updates on exhibitions, classes, artist achievements, and arts events across Southern Arizona. This growing network of supporters continues to strengthen the connection between local artists and the wider community.
The new gallery space also offers after-hours access for community groups, clubs, and nonprofit organizations seeking a unique venue for meetings or special events surrounded by fine art, further reinforcing SAAG’s role as both a cultural resource and gathering place.
With its new home at Joesler Village, the Southern Arizona Arts Guild continues its long-standing commitment to enriching the region’s artistic landscape, celebrating creativity, supporting artists, and inviting the public to experience the power of art.
