For more than three decades, Lenore Diamond Robins has created art that exists somewhere between sculpture, painting, optical illusion, and pure imagination. Working primarily with wood, acrylic paint, and high-gloss resin, she constructs bold three-dimensional compositions that appear to shift, pulse, and move as viewers walk past them. Vibrant colors collide with carefully calculated geometry, creating works that feel both playful and technically precise. The result is an amazing body of work that is instantly engaging yet layered with complexity beneath its polished surfaces.<\/span><\/p>

At the center of Lenore’s artistic philosophy is the idea that art should invite curiosity rather than intimidation, especially for those new to contemporary or optical art. “The art world can be a puzzle for many,” she explains. “I often find myself in a puzzling situation, quite literally.” Through her work, she attempts to unravel that puzzle by creating pieces that are imaginative, multidimensional, and accessible to a broad audience, including collectors and gallery owners seeking innovative yet approachable works. Her pieces are visually striking and playful at first glance, but they also reveal remarkable craftsmanship and structural depth the longer they are explored. Each artwork begins as a carefully designed composition built on wood. Lenore layers multiple coats of acrylic paint, occasionally incorporating metallic leaf or textured materials to create additional dimension and contrast. She then finishes many of her works with a painstaking resin process that has become one of her signatures. The resin is hand-mixed, hand-poured, and carefully blow-torched to eliminate bubbles, creating a glass-like surface that magnifies color, depth, and movement.<\/span><\/p>

Photography cannot fully capture the vibrancy, dimensionality, or reflective quality of her originals. The interaction between light, resin, texture, and layered form changes constantly depending on the viewer’s perspective and environment, encouraging a personal exploration <\/span>of her art. Lenore’s work has been exhibited internationally, including group shows sponsored by Art Fusion Galleries in South Florida and Abba Gallery in Florence, Italy, and is collected <\/span>by art enthusiasts worldwide. Her artwork has found homes in Canada, Austria, Colombia, England, France, Germany, Mexico, Spain, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.
